01 How do I get started — and how long does enrolment take?
Book a free 30-minute discovery call from the home page. After our chat we'll run a short diagnostic with your child, share a recommended plan, and you can be in your first session within 5–7 days. The whole sign-up process takes less than 10 minutes once you've decided.
02 How are sessions delivered?
Sessions run on our purpose-built virtual classroom with shared whiteboard, live worksheet annotation, and screen sharing — flexible, focused, and just as effective as traditional teaching.
03 How long is each session and how often should we book?
Sessions run for up to one hour. We'll recommend a cadence after the diagnostic — and you can change frequency, timing, or focus on the fly to suit your child.
04 Who are the tutors and how are they vetted?
Every Learner Trail tutor is rigorously vetted and completes our internal pedagogy training. You can review qualifications and student feedback before they're paired with your child.
05 What if my child doesn't connect with the tutor?
We re-pair, free of charge — no awkward conversations needed. The right tutor match is the single biggest predictor of progress, so we make this seamless. Just let us know and we'll have a new tutor introduced within 48 hours.
06 How much does it cost? Are there any contracts?
Our 1:1 tutoring starts from $12 per hour. There are no annual contracts and no cancellation fees — pause anytime, cancel with 7 days' notice. Siblings get 10% off, and our referral programme gives you one free class once the student you referred completes 4 classes.
07 Can I pause or cancel?
Yes. You can pause for up to 8 weeks per term (great for school holidays or busy weeks) and cancel any time with 7 days' notice. Unused, prepaid sessions are credited or refunded.
08 How quickly will we see progress?
Most families notice a confidence shift within 4–6 weeks — children become more willing to attempt problems and ask questions. Measurable academic gains (school grades, test scores) typically arrive within one full term of consistent sessions.
09 How will I know my child is making progress?
Three ways:
  • A detailed progress report with attendance, scores, and topics covered
  • A fortnightly report from your tutor with focus areas and next steps
  • A termly review call to revise goals and celebrate wins
10 How do you tailor the tutoring to my child?
Every learning plan is shaped around your child. Depending on their strengths, we align the curriculum to where they shine — and we focus on each individual child's pace and learning style.
